Reaching Hotel
Hotel Kredo is located in Sliven, a major city in the historic Thrace region of Bulgaria at the foot of the Eastern Balkan Mountains.
From Sofia Airport (SOF): Distances vary between 280 and 300 kilometers to be covered within three hours or slightly more by car.
By Bus: There is frequent bus service from Sofia Central Bus Station to Sliven .Travel time about four four half hours. The Sliven bus station is in the south part of town, quite far from Hotel Kredo. You will definitely need a taxi from the bus station to the hotel. It is not possible to walk with luggage as it is 3-4 km uphill.
From Burgas Airport (BOJ): This is the nearest coastal airport, about 110 kilometers east. Just over an hour’s drive via the Trakia Highway (A1) heading west. Extremely popular as an entry point during summer. Many visitors rent a car in Burgas and drive inland after enjoying the sea to explore the mountains. By Bus: Regular bus service from Burgas West Station to Sliven, short travel time of about one and a half hours, low fare.
Drive through Sliven’s maze of one-way streets and head up into the mountain where roads get narrower and steeper as you approach Hotel Kredo to catch a whiff of adrenaline at the top in villa area "Koynarite." GPS is highly recommended. Look for Sport Palace or Lift Station signposts. The hotel perches further up a curling road that ascends the hill; do not be dismayed if it gets precipitous-you are on track toward some spectacular vantage points.
Taxi Logistics: By European standards, taxis in Sliven are ridiculously cheap. A cab from the railway station to your hotel should not cost more than 6-8 BGN (approx. 3-4 EUR). Do not attempt walking from the station. Some reputed companies go by "Bi-Esi" or "Grup." More often it's better to ask a local or the bartender at the station to call a cab for you instead of picking one up but there is usually a rank at the station.
